We offer a range of oral surgery procedures following referral from your dentist.
When you attend the clinic, we will undertake a thorough history, examination and discussion, including taking any x-rays that we agree with you to enable your treatment.
Treatment under local anaesthetic is usually carried out at your first visit to the clinic.
Treatment with intravenous sedation requires an initial visit for assessment, and a second visit for treatment.
This first visit allows our clinicians to ensure that sedation in a practice setting is appropriate for you, explain the sedation procedure in greater detail, discuss your treatment and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Further information on intravenous sedation can be found via the link on our Home page.
We are also very happy to see you for a separate consultation appointment prior to an appointment for treatment under local anaesthetic if you wish. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange this for you.
Sometimes, our examination and x-rays lead us to recommend referral on to another clinic, either for further imaging (usually a 3D scan) or for assessment in a hospital setting, without treatment in our clinic.
After your procedure
The amount of time you will need to take off from work and normal duties is very variable, and will depend on your profession and the amount of surgery.
The average time off work should be between 3-5 days, but there is a great deal of variation between individuals. In the case of a simple procedure with local anaesthetic only, we would usually suggest that you at least refrain from working on the day of your treatment.
Treatment with sedation will require a longer recovery period as the sedative remains in your system for 24 hours. During this time you should not drive a car, make any important decisions or sign any legal documents.
Because the operation site will be tender following your treatment, we advise that a soft diet is adopted for a few days.

Changing your appointment
If you are unable to attend your appointment please notify us as soon as possible.
Due to the high demand for appointments, and our commitment to keeping our waiting lists as short as possible, we unfortunately have to charge for unattended sedation appointments or those cancelled at short notice.
Fees for treatment
We are committed to providing a high quality service within the NHS and privately.
Patients currently registered for NHS care with their own Dentist can be treated within the NHS at our clinic, and normal NHS fees will apply.
If you are not exempt from NHS charges we will be very happy to provide you with an estimate of your treatment cost. If you are exempt from charges please bring evidence of your exemption.
Please note that all accounts must be settled on the day of treatment.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further information.
